Let Your Yea Be Yea and Your Nay Be Nay!  <?xml:namespace prefix = o />

James 5:12, “But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.

We are all aware of how our sports personalities have diminished themselves as “heroes.”  There was a time when a young kid or an adult for that matter could look up to a sports star and be encouraged by their conduct.

Look at the figures below and tell me if you can name the organization they belong to?  Do they belong to the NBA (National Basketball Association) or the NFL (National Football League) or the MLB (Major League Baseball)?

36 accused of spousal abuse

7 have been arrested for fraud

19 have been accused of writing bad checks

117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses

3 have done time for assault

71...
repeat,   71 Cannot get a credit card due to bad credit

14 have been arrested on drug-related charges

8 have been arrested for shoplifting

21currently are defendants in lawsuits,

And

84 have been arrested for drunk driving

In the last year

Can you guess which organization this is?  Is it the NBA, NFL or the MLB?

Give up yet?
Scroll down,

Neither,

it's the 535 members of the United States Congress

The same group of people we voted into office to run our country and keep us in line.  Do you still think character does not matter?  Do you still think your vote does not matter?

Big vote this coming November, 2010; are you going to leave the status quo? Or are you fed up with the status quo and ready to clean house (and senate) and start over with people we can trust?
